GR*Ermionida’s Tenoros (Ross)
The heart and inspiration of our nursery
About us
Our breeding journey began in the fall of 2020 when we brought home our first Maine Coon kitten. Initially, we planned to acquire only one female Maine Coon, but soon our interest grew and we decided to start our own cattery.
Our first cat was GR*Ermionida's Tenoros, known at home as Ross, who became the inspiration for the entire cattery.
The cattery is registered in the WCF breeding system and we belong to the Fennica Cattus Ry club. We operate in accordance with the applicable breed and breeding rules, considering both breed standards and animal welfare to be important.
The health of cats is our top priority in breeding, which means that we do not use cats whose genetic tests
are positive. In addition, we check the cats' heart function
with ultrasound and take pictures of their hips to ensure that the hip joints are in the correct position.
It's a lifestyle!
Our cats live in a home environment as members of the family, not as caged animals. They share our everyday lives and, if they wish, can also spend time on a secure, enclosed terrace where they can enjoy the fresh air and surroundings in safety.
Our cattery takes the same conscious approach to cat nutrition. From the very beginning, our cats have been fed a high-quality raw food diet. I prepare the meat mixtures myself to ensure that the ingredients are fresh, of known origin, and properly balanced—health begins in the food bowl.
The food is supplemented once a day with carefully selected high-quality treats that support a varied and nutritious diet and fit in with our cats' natural rhythm of life.
